The following describes the various awards:

ASSOCIATION LEVEL AWARDS -

AL DEAGLE Award - Al Deagle is a "ball hockey nut" as he would call himself. He always did everything that he could to provide kids and their families with a positive experience that was affordable to everyone. For the 17+ years that Al operated the association, all of the little things that are paramount to making the league possible plus tonnes more were done by Al with out question. Al is a very well liked, highly respected class act of an individual and Surrey Minor Ball Hockey is very fortunate to have him to mentor and look up to.

For all his service and dedication this award has been named after him and represents the Surrey Minor Ball Hockey Association volunteer who has contributed time and effort above and beyond their regular volunteer position that has directly resulted in the improvement or growth of the association. This volunteer has done so without expectation of recognition, they have seen a void and done what they can to fill it. They are in essence the unsung hero of Surrey Minor Ball Hockey.

JOE LAROCQUE Award - Joe Laroque was a tireless contributor to the association.  As a coach, referee and many years on the Executive of the association, Joe was in integral part of growing ball hockey in Surrey and thanks to his contribution the association is a better place for all our players.

For all his contributions this award has been named after him and goes to the Surrey Minor Ball Hockey Association player who has contributed to the association in numerous ways in addition to playing during the season. They may have volunteered to coach, referee, or assist the Executive in some way. This player conducts themselves in a positive way and is an asset to the association by showing skill and leadership. Despite being busy with their own team they have taken on an additional role(s) and by doing so have also made the association a better place for all our players.

TEAM SPIRIT Award - This award goes to the team that has taken the term (team spirit÷ to a new level.  They have shown that they have a diverse team with loads of positive attitudes.  They are polite, respectful, talented and a joy to have on the floor.  This team is fun, and willing to learn.  They are players who show a genuine love for the game of ball hockey.
